Eric J. Duxstad is the founder and lead guide of Guía Realty. He has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience in both the brokerage and real estate appraisal fields. Guía is the Spanish word for guide and his goal is to help guide his clients in the everchanging commercial real estate world now and in the future.
Over his career, Eric has provided independent fee appraisal and underwriting services in San Antonio and South Texas with Noble and Associates, Inc. and Integra Realty Resources – San Antonio (IRR-SA). From 1997 to 2016, he was a senior commercial real estate review appraiser with Frost Bank. At Frost Bank, Eric analyzed commercial real estate and reviewed commercial real estate appraisals for loan production on properties in all the major Texas markets and around the country. He worked with the bank on establishing values for bank owned properties and with the REO Department for workouts and trouble loan properties. Some of the property types he has worked on are retail uses, medical and professional office buildings, mixed use, small and large apartment complexes, industrial buildings, farm and ranch, and special use properties. He has court prep, court and eminent domain experience as well.
Eric has given back to the commercial real estate community by being the 2013 President of the South Texas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, 2019 President for the San Antonio/South Texas CCIM Chapter and is currently volunteering on a 2020-2021 subcommittee of the National CCIM Organization.
